Kanye

Kanye is a town located in southern Botswana. It is the administrative center of the Southern District. It is the capital of the Bangwaketse tribe whose chief is Kgosi Seepapitso IV.

Kanye is the original village for Bangwaketse, which is one of the biggest tribes in Botswana. It is located in the mountainous region of Southern Botswana. It is bordered by Moshupa, Lobatse, Jwaneng and is a 45-minute drive from Gaborone, which is the capital city of Botswana.

    Herbs get your facts right. Its not spelled "Gabarone" , its spelled "Gaborone". And mind you water is not pumped from Francistown. Its pumped from Mmadinare Dam in Mmadinare Village in the Central District. The village is located near Selibe Phikwe not Francistown Herb. The pipe material is concrete all the way to Gaborone. Water is not pumped into the Gaborone Dam, rather into reserviors, which distributes to customers in GaboroneAnd surroundings. About 20% of water is distributed along with water from Mmadinare dam in Gaborone, the rest is pumped to villages near Gaborone. This villages are the major consumer of Gaborone Dam water (mostly villages in the Southern part of Gaborone, including Lobatse.
